"The Double Deca"

On November 2nd, 2019 Shanda Hill became the first Canadian to complete a Double Deca. A Double Deca is the equivalent of 20 Ironman triathlons and is considered one of the toughest races in the world. Twenty-eight continuous days of swimming, cycling, and running with very little sleep. The competition consists of a swim the distance of Kelowna to Armstrong, a bike equal to Ottawa from Kelowna, and a run the same distance from Kelowna to Vancouver and back. She will be sharing her experiences, how she achieved her goals, and, most importantly, what fuels her.
